This 1926 newspaper advert comes from The Tyler Daily Courier-Times of Tyler, Texas. According to the Herb Museum of Vancouver, one iteration of Kurokol contains 8% alcohol, 5 minims of chloroform, and 4 grains of cannabis per ounce. Alcohol, chloroform, cannabis. There are days when I could use a dose of Kurokol, cough or no cough. (By the way, one “minim" is 1⁄480 of a fluid ounce.)
